Custom Rapid Tooling

One-stop rapid tooling and injection molding solutions

Overview:We deliver fast, cost-effective rapid tooling solutions to turn your design into functional parts in days. Our service includes rapid mold fabrication, low-volume production, and on-demand prototyping, helping you validate designs, test markets, and accelerate product launches without the high cost and long lead times of traditional tooling. We support a wide range of materials and finishes for automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial applications.

What is Rapid Tooling?

Rapid tooling (also known as prototype mold or soft mold) is a low-cost, fast-cycle injection molding solution, designed for product prototyping, low-volume production and design validation. It produces plastic parts identical to mass production quality in a very short time.

Applications & Solutions

  • New product development prototyping and functional validation
  • Low-volume production for market testing
  • Product structure optimization and iteration validation
  • Sample making for exhibitions and customer evaluation
  • Transitional production solution before mass production hard mold

Benefits of Rapid Tooling

✅ Fast lead time, samples available in as short as 7-15 days

✅ Much lower tooling cost than traditional hard molds

✅ Quickly validate product structure, appearance and assembly, reduce mass production risks

✅ Ideal for low-volume production, from hundreds to thousands of parts

✅ Flexible for structural changes and product iteration

Types of Rapid Tooling

Single cavity rapid mold

simple structure, low cost, ideal for single-part prototyping

Multi-cavity rapid mold

multi-cavity design to improve low-volume production efficiency

Insert rapid mold

pre-embedded metal parts for assembly requirements

Simple overmold

Surface Treatment Options

  • Mold Texturing & Etching
Directly apply matte, gloss, or custom textures via mold etching, eliminating secondary processing
  • Painting & Coating
Spray painting (matte/gloss), UV coating, clear coat, soft-touch paint, and anti-scratch coating
  • Polishing & Buffing
Manual/mechanical polishing from standard finish to high-gloss mirror finish
  • Screen Printing / Pad Printing
Add logos, text, or functional markings on flat or slightly curved surfaces
  • Laser Marking / Engraving
Permanent part numbers, warnings, or logos on plastic and metal parts
  • Deburring & Sandblasting
Remove flash and sharp edges, create uniform matte or textured finishes
  • Metal-Specific Treatments
Anodizing (clear/colored), plating (chrome/nickel), passivation, powder coating, and heat treatment

From Design to Parts, Faster Than You Think

Key Benefits: 7-15 Day Lead Time · Up to 50% Cost Saving

Frequently Asked Questions

Aluminum molds are suitable for under hundreds of parts; steel molds can reach thousands of parts, depending on product structure and material.

Samples of standard products can be delivered in 7-15 days, complex structures may take a bit longer.

Not recommended for long-term mass production, ideal for prototyping and low-volume trial. We can develop traditional hard molds for you later if needed.
