What is Zinc Die Casting?

Zinc alloy die casting is a precision metal forming process. Molten zinc alloy liquid is injected into precision die casting molds under high pressure and high speed, then cooled and solidified rapidly to form finished metal parts. It can mass-produce complex-structured, uniform-wall and high-precision metal components with high efficiency. Various surface finishing treatments are available, widely used in hardware accessories, electronic housings, auto parts and smart home hardware.

Advantage: Easy to form complex parts, cost-effective and friendly for various surface treatments.

Disadvantage: Poor heat resistance and lower strength than aluminum alloy.

Common Zinc Alloy Materials We Use

All materials are RoHS/REACH compliant, with full traceability from certified suppliers.
Alloy GradeKey FeaturesTypical Applications
Zamak 3The most common grade; excellent castability, dimensional stability, and surface finish; balanced strength and cost.Consumer electronics, hardware, connectors, general-purpose components
Zamak 5Higher copper content than Zamak 3; improved strength and hardness, good castability.Automotive parts, structural components, parts requiring higher mechanical strength
Zamak 7High purity alloy; exceptional fluidity, ideal for ultra-thin walls and complex geometries; reduced intergranular corrosion risk.Thin-wall parts, precision components, high-volume consumer goods
ZA-8 / ZA-12Higher aluminum content; superior strength and wear resistance compared to Zamak series.Parts requiring high load-bearing or wear resistance (e.g., gears, bearings)
